Notes

After installing water-cooling system I was able to overclock CPU up to 2.95GHz with the following BIOS settings:

  • Memory ratio: 4:5 (My PC-6400 memory works at 410MHz with timings: 6/6/6/18/52/2T)

  • CPU frequency: 328MHz (multiplier: 6-9)

On the higher frequency (>=3GHz) system boots but crashes on some applications (e.g. Adobe Photoshop Elements on RAW browsing).

To enable AHCI after installation of Windows Vista or 7, set in the registry value of the parameter Start to 0 on of the following subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\msahci.
